What can yall tell me about Bogner 3534s?

If the FX loop was as good as my Shiva 20th or Friedman Little Sister I would have kept mine. Loved the Green and Blue channels. I’m not a super high gain player, so I didn’t really use the Red much.

    Biggest sounding 212 you've played?

My favorite that I’ve played through is the Bogner OS 2x12. But there’s just no way any 2x12 is gonna have that same wallop and fullness that a great 4x12 delivers.

    Poor Reverb' hurtin' again..

I recently listed two boutique amps, 1x12 cab and a bunch of pedals on Reverb, Craigslist and TGP. They all sold on Reverb. Mostly tire kickers and people looking to trade in Craigslist and TGP. Like it or not, Reverb still seems like the best way to sell.

    3534 vs Shiva 20th KT88

Yeah I’m loving the Shiva. That’s no disrespect to the 3534. This amp just suits me more.

Look into the Scumback H55 PVC. You can get 65w models.

    CURE for Gear acquisition syndrome?

I had an almost 3 year run of not buying any gear. I did it by not going on any gear forums or watching gear videos on YouTube.

    3534 vs Shiva 20th KT88

Ok. I’ve compared them both today. The Shiva is staying and the 3435 is going. Mostly because the loop is quiet on the Shiva and I never use the Red channel on the 3534. Both deliver delicious cleans and crunch, but I’m feeling the Shiva more.

    Allow myself to introduce…myself.

I got those back in 2004, when I was in my 20’s, working in advertising without adult responsibilities yet. :ROFLMAO:

    JCM 800: el34s vs 6550

They both sound good. Just really depends on the tone and feel you like. For more classic vibes EL34’s are great. But if you’re into hard rock and metal, you may like the punch of 6550’s.

    3534 vs Shiva 20th KT88

I’m probably gonna order a new one. Then I can return it if I don’t like it. Also if there’s any issues or damage during shipping I won’t be stuck with a busted amp.

Bogner Ecstacy 3534 noisy fx loop

Nice. What about the master volume control on the back for the FX loop, does it still function after the mod?

    NCD/NAD Bogner Naylor Marshall concept

Looks great. I personally prefer slant cabs, but I’m not playing super heavy music. They still have plenty of meat for me.

    3534 vs Shiva 20th KT88

Thanks for the feedback. I had Shiva combo back in 2001, and the gain channel was a little tubby. But I also lived in an apartment back then and couldn’t really turn it up properly unless I was jamming with friends at the rehearsal space. Trying to decide between buying a used 20th or biting...

I actually crossed paths with John Mayer once when I lived in NYC. I was going into Rudy’s Music as John was leaving. He held the door open for me. This was the “Your Body is a Wonderland” era and since that’s not what I was into musically, I had no clue who he was. But everyone in the store was...

Tan pant wearing lawyer. Also do some dentistry on the side. Putting my name in the hat for the new Gibson Kirk Hammett ‘59 Les Paul replica. I will definitely be playing “Just Got Paid” on that bad boy once it arrives. :ROFLMAO:

    3534 vs Shiva 20th KT88

I have a 3534 and I’m strongly considering adding a Shiva 20th to the pile. There’s no place near me that has the Shiva in stock, so I’m going on clips and educated opinions. What are the similarities and differences? Is it redundant to have both of these? I love my 3534 though I pretty much...

The Morgan JS12 is a great sounding amp. But I’m playing British flavored crunchy stuff 90% of the time. So the 3534 gets played most of my playing time. I’m gonna put it up in Craigslist later this week.
