Very cool show 💀
Great tones and playing also.

There was a Christmas part, and female singers doing solo... it was beautiful the voices made me feel emotions. Anyway I had a good time, and every where they go they recruit local talented musicians to be in the string section of the orchestral part. Very cool.... 🎶

Are they still doing it with a different band for the east and west "coasts"?

*** Edit, based on the website, yes. Performing in PA and CO on the same days. I think the East coast band has more Savatage in it, which is cool to me

Dudes could actually shred. They also had some SICK Guitars. I swear they each brought out a new guitar for every track. The tones were different for different songs, but always clear and bold... very good crunch tones. They didn't miss a lick. They are definitely players.

I love TSO.
Didn't take you for a fan.

A girl that likes me bought the tickets and asked me to go. So.... I wasn't exactly a fan. But I had heard some pieces. And while it's not blistering heavy or thrash... I appreciated what they did. It was a very nice show, not too crazy. Literally stayed seated which felt great not going to lie. And I have always had a big respect for orchestra compositions and piano players which they had 2 piano/key players, they were awesome. I used to play the fuck out of piano as a child. Legitimately, if I hadn't stopped I'd be one of the nastiest piano players in the northern hemisphere.

If anything I'm a fan now, they earned my respect for being so solid & having such a well laid out show.

There was also story telling in between where a man came out and spoke poetically telling a stroy that progressed as the night went on.

I always enjoy a good mix of quality entertainment and they delivered. ✔️

It's been a few years since I saw them. Time to go again. They always put on a spectacular show.

I first saw Savatage in '87 opening for another band. I was an instant fan.

That Joel Hoekstra in the last pic?

Dude fuckin rips

I didnt even know the man was in Whitesnake, but that explains all the 80s style posing he was doing the entire night. Dude was a smooth operator on the high notes for sure.. very fluid you could tell he'd been doing it a long time. Effortless leads.
