That moment when you hit a chord full on power when you think you are attenuated only happens once. But it is glorious
I do pretty much the same thing. I leave my attenuator, amp switcher, noise gate and tuner set to on then use a Live Wire power conditioner as a master on/off for all.I use a power strip as a master on/off for my amp+attenuator+pedalboard, then leave all of them set to on and only use the power strip to turn things on/off.
Prevents that exact scenario and also enabled my laziness.
1. YesSo, I have 2 hypotheticals regarding this unit that will help me better understand if I need one.
1: I need to play a gig in a small club but want to use my SLO30 and work the power amp section a bit. This will attenuate?
2: Conversely, I have a gig playing an outdoor venue but want to still use my SLO30. I can run my line out of the SLO into the PS and use it as a 100 watt power amp?
Well, I meant using the line out (not speaker out) of the SLO and using the PS as a stand-alone power amp, but it sounds like however it's hooked up it does do both without killing tone or feel of the amp.1. Yes
2. If by line out you mean regular speaker output, then yes.
Part of the power stations capabilities is an attenuator to make loud amps quite and another part is a reamper to make quiet amps louder.
*EDIT* Wanted to add that either way you use it, the power station is very transparent. And it also has the capability to set ohms on both the amp and cab side. So you can use it that way if you ever get stuck with a mismatched cab.
Got it! Think I'm gonna order one!Yea line out of your amp into the line in of the PS to use it as an amp.
The SLO still would still need to be connected to a load though.

Thanks guys.

Exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks man!I picked up an SLO30 a few weeks and use it with a PS2. I really can't tell the difference between using the SLO without or with the PS2 sound wise. However, being able to get the master up to 5 or 6 and not blow out my windows is a wonderful thing!
This would be a W/D rig. Take the line out of the main amp run into effects. Run effects out to line in on the Power Station.I've always been intrigued by having a WDW rig, but have no idea where to start. I'm dumb
I've only used my PS-100 so I can't fully comment on the PS2. Reports are they sound the same and the volume taper is a little different on the PS100 where it doesn't get loud as quickly. But that doesn't mean the PS2 has a bad taper. Sound wise reports say they are the same, both very transparent. My PS100 is definitely transparent. This video from Fryette explains the differences and may help.
Reach out to Rack Systems (Friedman). Rob had one delivered to me within a week from Cali to FL during Covid when everyone else was out of stock.I'm bumping this back up. I ordered a PS-100 but they won't be back in stock at MF until May. They do have PS-2s in stock. My question to the users is, do I REALLY need the PS-100? The only thing I can think would be better is the extra 50 watts. However, I am just a home player right now and not sure I'll ever gig again even though I'd like too. And honestly, 50 watts is more than enough for anything around here. I wouldn't utilize the 2nd channel of the PS-100. My main concern is whether the sound quality between the 2 is the same.
What say you?
Appreciate it. I have a MF gift card to use that's why I went there and have to wait it outReach out to Rack Systems (Friedman). Rob had one delivered to me within a week from Cali to FL during Covid when everyone else was out of stock.
