Greenbacks can be great for high gain. Just look at what is in the 5153 4x12 cab.

Greenbacks and the more accurate vintage replicas such as Scumback differ from V30s also in how they respond to wattage/volume. V30s sound pretty much the same and bedroom volume or blasting/band/gig volumes. Greenbacks do not.
I love my Scumback M75s, but they DO NOT sound the same when I'm noodling at 10pm when the kids are down as they do when I'm blasting the Ecstasy. V30s are a better all around speaker (or better yet, V30 + CL80 in a 2x12) IF you are concerned with bedroom noodling. Greenbacks (especially the heritage ones) are "better" when blasting. Part of that is the medium weight magnet, part of it is how the cone responds to volume adding its own grit and color.
