so what happened to the old neck and how bad was it trashed?

The old neck maple/maple duckbeak had no frets left and went into the trash. The hockey stick neck in the picture above is a Warmoth replacement and it is in great condition. It is flame maple with brazilian rosewood fretboard. I'm going to sell the hockey stick neck with the sperzel locking tuners and floyd nut to the highest bidder...

Nicely done! I like it both before & after. I do prefer the hockey headstock. What's a ballpark on the transformation price? Is that a tremol-no on the floyd?

Price was $550 including taking the guitar apart, stripping the body, doing the shaping of the neck, satin finish on the neck, candy stripe on the body and headstock, reassmbly and setup. That is well below what other top tier refin guys charge frankly and some won't even take a guitar apart or reassemble/setup... and I got this guitar back in TWO WEEKS!!!!! Did you hear that? TWO WEEKS!!!??? I'd have to wait MONTHS for others to do a graphic like this with top notch quality...

Yup, a tremel-no. Pretty cool, gives a lotta options...
