Need two ~20' cables, any recommendations after my gig ones both were destroyed on tour. Musician buddies suggested Mogami Gold if I have a guitar center hook up (which I dont right now). Wondering if there is any similar alternatives or something else I should be checking out?

Thanks in advance

Mogami 2524 (the wire used in Mogami Gold cables) is very popular and used by Bob Bradshaw, etc. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3224840167...vhj68usqYRAm5VEfG6589x5herBaDVbtuqCO0fq6ThnpA

You can get them with silent plugs from Event Horizon: https://eventhorizon-srv.com/shop/mogami-2524-silent-instrument-cable-20ft-p-2968

Belden 9778 is Dave Friedman's favorite cable. It's a bit more expensive though. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...s-20-input-cable-straight-to-straight-20-foot

This seller has 15' in stock with silent plugs: https://reverb.com/item/77836639-be...ble-w-neutrik-silentplug-15ft-gold-connectors

I've been using D'addario American Stage cables for years now. I'll use them before Mogami.

I use Livewire Elite instrument, speaker and XLR cables, one main and one back up on each. If I ever have an issue with one I can bring it back to any GC and exchange it for free. I've never had to exchange the Livewire Elite cables. I've had to exchange a ton of regular livewire cables, but then it just pays for itself.

For patch cables and custom rig cables I hit up Redco and use any weird combination of Squareplugs and Mogami. I do have a really nice guitar cable made from Square Plugs, Mogami and wrapped in Techflex, but I use that for recording.

Rattlesnake cables are great, Hanks customer service is 2nd to none

I've had George L's and Mogami Golds and Mogami Silvers and even shitty high dollar Monster cables. After an old 90's coily cable I bought as a kid basically won the clarity and fidelity shootout I did I pretty much quit wasting my time with big money cables. I thought coily cables knocked off the high end but it was clearer and retained more top end than any cable I've owned. I still got it in a box but the straight end sections got shorter and shorter from peeling the wire back repairing or replacing the ends so I retired it. I been using a D'Addario my wife bought me for Christmas and it's decent but if I just need a decent low noise low cost cable for gigs I usually reach for a pro-co.

Holler at JLB at Blues City Music and see if he’s still got some Solid Cables Arc Ultras.

I just get everything through Best-Tronics. Used them for years and cannot recommend them enough. Every cable I own is through them.

Brad Bartosz at BtPA for sure

I have tons of cable, including Mogami.

I prefer BTPA, so much so that I even wired my entire home theater with it.

Also, Vincent at signum cable. Very similar. That guy makes good stuff as well.

I’ve bought components from Brad and built my own cable, and at times I’ve paid him or Vinnie to make cables,

I strongly agree with "Eyes of the South" since I have also found Anthony at Ampturco (in Pennsylvania) and ordered three cables. He is top notch with his cables and IMHO not only "better" than Mogami, but also give my Lava VanDerHul's a run for the quality and at a more reasonable cost. Anthony has set me up with a killer coiled "Wizard" cable for guitar to amp or pedal board, 6 foot cables for my effects loop, and I cannot say enough regarding the superior quality and tone I'm experiencing now, and I've tried most of the "best." He is a two-man show now and can take a little time getting things out, but it's all custom as ordered, and well worth any extra wait at his reasonable cost. I've learned that Anthony is an extremely knowledgeable and creative technician for all cables, patch cables, guitar cables, guitar electronics kits, etc., etc. I am personally highly satisfied with his products.

I sought out Anthony after I read a post on another forum recommending him. IMO you can't go wrong.

Thanks for all the links & suggestions everyone. Lots of options, much appreciated!
