Another year come, another year gone.

So too did a lot of gear, I'm guessing. What did your year look like?

These came in:

Bunch of guitars came and went.
Bunch of pedals I don’t use.
Marshall DSL which is my left channel when I actually run a stereo setup.

nothing much.... swapped some pedals around. Other than that, my mark IVa is at boogie getting a once over (was red plating and the eq caps are starting to leak DC...probably doesn't need much else, as i recapped it already, and mesa has had it once before i bought it for the dual IC heatsink fix, v5 coupling cap upgrade, and a few other little fixes). Also i bought an OG 5150 2x12 combo which is a lot of fun to play.

i've done all the gear whoring i'm going to do in the past 2 decades. i pretty much know what i like and don't keep anything excessive around. can't afford to.

Yeah, people used to laugh at my thread "GASaholics Anonymous". The struggle is real. I'm a married man. I have a wife and family. Yet i spend copious amounts of cash on gear that I proceed to play some lame ass shit on.

And it gets worse. 2025 isn't even here yet and there's stuff being planned. Amps. Guitars. Parts. Upgrades.

The question is, where are the other GASaholics like me on these forums. I know they're out there.

Have to be. Cause. This. Is. Rig-Talk.

I got a used Fractal AX-8 in the first week of January, and bought a road case to put it in in February.

In July I needed a 335-type guitar for a project, and after looking around locally I found a Guild Starfire for a ridiculously low price so I grabbed it.

Bought a Rogue lap steel for a one-off gig in August. I was gonna sell it off after the gig, but I still have it.

I liked the Fractal experience so much I bought a used FM3 with an FC6 controller and 2 EV-1 pedals, mounted on a Temple Audio Duo board in September.

That's it for the year. It's pretty much the least amount of gear I've bought in the past 10 years.

Bogner Helios Eclipse

I'm super jealous of your Eclipse

The helios is the only bogner i've really gotten along with really well - I really loved the bogner modded poundcake I had, as well, but the helios is the only "off the shelf" bogner that I didn't think was dark and muffled and better suited to lead playing

The helios (eclipse especially) is just super raw and open and sounds great with rhythms
