4th Reich....... :codeak: :codeak: :codeak: :codeak:

Waiting on something special from Reinhold right now that is really giving me a stiffy.

Steve
Oh Dayuum!! Do tell. I can't stand it. Reinhold kills. I was looking at the CCV guts. Makes me wonder what Mark picked up from the Master from working with him. Top Secret I'm sure.

From the sound of it, I think he picked up whatever he could conceal and take from the shop undetected......

101 chassis/head box/layout/board/board mounts = CCV. Although, Mark still uses soldered connection pots, buss wired tubes sockets, wired jacks, Mercury iron.
It's easy to see the resemblences.

Huge difference between the 20th Shiva and regular? Any pros to the 20th? worth it if there is a deal on the regular Shiva?

All I can tell you is the 20th is an excellent amp. Has plenty of useable gain and great tone. I wouldn't get the regualr over the 20th.

Seems to me the 20thA series from Bogner is a hella more than just pretty tolex and marketing.

 Mojo man, You would love the Shiva 20th. Get it, Put SED 6550's in it(Not that the 88"s aren't good), and holy shit what a tone. The cleans are fantastic also. the 20x clen is really nice but ain't no Shiva in the 20X. I love them both. It would be a really hard choice but the Shiva could win.

You're killing me man!! Stop it!! I still have to straighten out my new rig (Mak4/Fryette) - waiting on the order... But I KNOW in a years' time, ya, I've have a 20thA Sheevs to go with the X. I just know it. But in the meantime, considering I've had all of 2 hours of play time in the last 10 days, it's not on the top of my list of "to do's". But lemme tell ya, you'll ALL know when I pull the trigger on this little beast!!

Peace Y'All - Happy Monday!!
Mo/V.

I usually go the modded marshall route, would the shiva be right for me?? and since the anniversary came out I have seen some great deals on used regular shivas, Is there enough differance in the overdrive channel tones to justify that much extra dough?? I usually dont like kt88 tubes and would usually prefer el34. If yes, then I am considering the shiva or the goldfinger, any thoughts?

Depends on how much gain you want to have at your disposal. The 2oth has much more with the boost mode. The amp sounds great with the SED 6550's. Try to play one. I know that's usually not easy to do.
