There are some who get the situation and are working towards solutions within those communities, but they are few and far between, and they get no real attention from the 24/7 news cycle. The people who want things to get worse have learned to use the emotional aspect of the problem and equate it as a means to the wrong solution.
In the end its easier to be emotionally driven than solutions to a complex problem driven. It requires much more actual thought

Well, it's obviously just a consequence of the self-loathing we see the world over from the far left towards it's various homelands, mixed in with a bit of political correctness.

As I'm sure you'd know, the classic, logical question to ask such peeps is, "Well, how would you do things better?", to which they tend to only have idealistic, broad-stroke, ill-thought-out (or not at all) solutions.
