sounds great!
If you want the bumped gain tones that offer pinch harmonics you gotta boost it. In the last vid (part 4) I go thru all the types of boosts I am using. That sounds a lot better than what I was finding online with that amp about 6 or so months ago. Had a guy offer to trade one of those locally to me but I didn't know much about them and after watching a couple vids, I passed. That might have been a mistake!
I like the tones you are getting with this 3rd power amp more than the ones you got with your SLO30, while it sounded fine it just had no ass and sounded like a small amp IMHO. Is this a 50 watt amp?Dudes I recently had the Wizzard hybrid MK II 100w and this blows it away. I sold the hybrid cause ch 1 was near difficult to get dialed in and caused serious ear fatigue. Ch 2 was solo heaven but too much mlow mids for this classic metal guy. No hate, just my experience and stoke resulting from finding the amp that suits me best.
This amp truly has so many tones in there that I find new tones every time I plug in. I can share my thoughts comparing it to the Soldano and BE deluxe it anyone wants to know. Don't wanna comne off as negative, but bottom line is those were sold and this one is staying
Agreed, tough thing with the slo is the crunch is more articulate for rhythyms/riffs but is a bit thin. Many would argue thats to cut, but it's still a bit thin and can be fizzy until you crank it to noon which is too loud even outside. Ch 2 is pleasing till you go back to 1 and hear the note articualtion.I like the tones you are getting with this 3rd power amp more than the ones you got with your SLO30, while it sounded fine it just had no ass and sounded like a small amp IMHO. Is this a 50 watt amp?
The BE Deluxe has a bit more in the running against the 3rd power. To me the 3rd power seems to retain the raw, open attributes of a good Marshall. Not that the BE Deluxe is a slouch it just has a bit more compression that you either like or dislike.
