I bought the 1st 5150 head and straight cabinet that Sam Ash received back when they 1st came out..
Even though I didnt keep the 5150 head very long, I used that cabinet for a while with a Soldano Hot rod 50+ , VHT Pittbull & Lee jackson xls heads...
I thought the cabinet sounded good for my Original heavy stuff..
I only got rid of it because I needed something that sounded better for cleans in the Cover band I was in at the same time..
But I have never really been picky with 4x12 cabinets as long as they were a specific size or standard Marshall type size or Larger..
Then again I may be in the Minority that also liked the old Laney 4x12 cabinets with H&H Speakers
