we were supposed to get severe torrential storms so i started drinking whisky and beers on an empty stomach and next thing you know im writing riffs and recording... and it didnt even rain  all the talk of the 5153 in that pros thread made me bust mine out and fuck with it. this is my new favorite strat with the 78', a red channel track on each side and a blue down the middle, my ibanez 4x12 with v30s of unknown year and origin and a unidyne 57. literally just put everything at 6 except the mids which are at about 10 oclock and hit record. i might be starting to understand the love for these amps

I need to add bass to my shit for sure. It helps fill it out so well really let's the grind ride on top.

Sounds great n00b 👺

Later Slayer like . Pretty cool . What snare is that from . I like that tone . Sounds old school

Thats a great recorded tone man. I had a 5153 for awhile, maybe I was dialing it wrong too but it kinda felt a little sterile to me whenever I was comparing to the rest of my amps. Also one of the few amps I ever sold too.

i have my cab in the closet and cant really tell you what it sounds like in the room, but this was literally throw the mic in front of the speaker somewhere and hit record, no tweaking at all. what speakers were you using it with??

I dig this man - want to hear it fleshed out in a full song

thank you my dude, itll go into the riff bank and eventually be hooked up with another riff and then we are partying

I was using mine with a v30 filled cab. That could have been the problem right there... I sold it before I started getting other cabs and speakers to play with.

Aren’t those snares made in Serbia or something?

Sounds f’ing terrific man! Nice chunky bite!

I have everything on 6 on my 6L6 50W red channel also, maybe I should turn down the mids a touch.

The EL-34 50W I bought should be here Tuesday but won’t get to open until the 9th. Perfect timing on this clip. Thanks for posting, makes my juices flow, really can’t wait now.

Congrats on owning such a killer drum! Oriollo really surprised me when I found out that they make entire drum kits with seamless metal shells. The top end Ludwig snare drums are made like that too. I snagged a cheap Tama 10 log Rockstar snare for $37.50 a long time ago. It records amazingly well, but I still want the Model 402 6 1/2x14 Ludwing Supraphonic...the Bonham snare drum.

That sounded badass!!! I love my 5150-III 6L6. Those are some great tones from the EL34!

Man, kind of miss my 5153. Can you post the iso stereo guitar track bounce? Sounds killer as always.

I don't get into most modded Marshall tones or classic 5150 clips so personal preference and all, but this is the best of both worlds IMO. Well done all always!

awesome! i did the c137 mod on the blue channel to clean up the low mids or whatever it does

Killer 5153 clip. I bet that would go well with your Cameron Mig clip (Edit: tone rather) :dunno:
