80s Hair Rock fans: Shotgun Messiah

Second Coming is an awesome disc with perhaps the best Sex/Drugs/RockandRoll song ever - the intro riff just knocks you over. Kolbe's tone was searing, almost like it was about to blow up. I had met him in L.A. several times before that CD came out. Had I run into him after I would have pestered him about those amps. Is Folkesson the same guy that modded Ronnie Le Tekro's? A different, but fantastic sound with a somewhat unique mid hump.

The blowing up type sound is inherent in the mod!! great analogy!


That said, Ronni Le Tekro's amp was not modified by Folkesson. It was done by another guy who has since fell off the radar.

I had an early Bogner modded marshall that did exactly that - blow up. I went through about 5 rebuilt gooped boards until I think I finally got an early Ectascy. That thing sure did sound good until you could smell it cooking though.
