Jimmy Page did it right.. stopped writing music 30 years ago so we never really heard anything bad from him, turns down hundreds of millions for tours cause who needs all that, does the occasional jam with whoever to show hes still boss, goes around with his 25 year old girlfriend doing his other hobbies.. much cooler way to go out imo

Angus Y proved long ago it isn't about the $--dude wants to rock out till he physically can't anymore. There is no Bon anymore, no Mal--if he says go I say hell yeah

Yep. Be a legend, enjoy a life without ruining your legacy and creating the lasting impression of cringe.

I'm guessing he knew he could never really match Led Zep, so he did a handful of collabs and P&P albums and left well enough alone with his gajillion dollars. As he should.

Don't these dudes have grandkids they should be spending time with? I honestly think that's a better use of their time than increasing their net worth 0.032% at the cost of their entire reputation

if he had to vision to use a different engineer every album as to not skew the vision that zeppelin was anything but his, i gotta think hanging it up at the right time was a calculated decision as well. when i think about this shit, i cant put anyone above him, he was truly genius every step of the way

hell yeah there is, i got this playing right now, it could be on any zeppelin greatest hits album. you cant have a greatest singer ever discussion without Coverdale, theres very few if any i would take over him

Unless I'm mistaken all we've heard from the 2024 tour so far in this thread is audience recordings.

It'd be good to hear something from the mixing desk. Maybe they're withholding that stuff 'cause it either sounds terrible or is intended for a live album?

If anything, the audience recording is more honest.
