Using DDJ in my Les Paul.... I went down to check out the new Rectifier Badlander yesterday. Nice amp. I prefer my Tremoverb.
The Tremoverb has a bit more midrange and smoother highs than the amp Adam used. But they sound very close. The pots on individual amps are slightly different. You might need to go up or down one number.
Every individual amp sounds slightly different.
I took the photo from the handbook linked above and my memory of the times I saw Tool in the front row in front of Adam's rig in the Undertow and Aenima tour. The sound is engraved in my mind. I was there for hours listening to his rig less than 20 feet from it at a few different shows.
Bold, Silicon diode, Orange, effects loop bypass
....I spent about 4 hours last night fine tuning the sound. I feel I'm pretty close. A few more days of fine tunning. The sound changes as the Master goes up. Minor changes would be done.
I don't know about now....but his sound about 25 years ago was brighter than what he used since then. Very small adjustments of the Presence and Treble cover the differences.
