this was his rig for soundwave '09. he used a tc electronics g system and 4 marshall 1960b cabinets.

When in '09 was that?...glad to see the Fish again!

it was early 09, so the rig with the alchemist appears to be newer

I played the Alchemist alone and didnt really care for it.
Maybe mixed with another amp its killer...
but alone it was mediocre at best.
But I am sure once Dave ran it up and down the flag pole.....
The tone was SMOKING!!!!

If he is using the Alchemist....why is there no Alchemist in thes picture you posted?????

I read he was using a Dave modified Marshall live.

I am not sure which version I will check

Hey Dave what happen to the Marsha's?
This was Cantrell's rig before he started using Marsha. He moved to a Bogner/Marsha mix, and I believe he is currently using a two Marsha rig.

cool thanks.

AIC is coming to Raleigh, NC April 21 and I can't wait. Only thing bad is once I hear Jerry playing those Marsha's its going to give me GAS so bad!!!!

Truth. I saw them in Minneapolis a few months back when he had the Marsha/Shiva rig and OH MY GOD!!! Tone was stunningly great! Best live guitar tone I've ever heard and I've seen hundreds if not thousands of shows!

For those wondering which Uber version it is, it's clearly a Revision Blue. You can easily see the lack of a jewel light in the picture.

Some nice rack-building skills, Dave!

To this day, I don't know why I sold mine. I was really quite fond of it. Not that it was the most amazing sounding combo in the world, but I did really like it for its versatility, and in built FX.

Just goes to show you that all of this gear switching, swapping and buying gets you one thing...

...it makes you sound just the same to everyone else's ears ;)

Thats what I was thinking

His tone has always been the same to me, through all his rigs. Bogner Modded Marshall, Bogner Fish, 5150 rig, Shiva, Marsha, and now the Uber with the Alchemist.
