i figured steven adler would beat him to the grave, but apparently adler's sober :aww:

He was a mess when i saw him on celeb rehab. Its depressing to see that shit rob someone of everything, but when u already fucked shit up in life sometimes it seems why bother at this point? Its a terrible way to think but thats how many in that situation rationalize it. I have a friend that said he used to party with him when mike was in atlantic city nj years ago pre aic, he said he was into H and speed and that was a long time ago so this is nothing new with him unfortunatly. I wished it could have worked out for him, wish his family the best.

Mike was always cool to me ..... and surprised me when he knew how to play all my riffs. He knew everyone's riffs... Offered to sit in at a Rock Candy gig back in the day when doing a gig with Cory and are bass player was late. This sucks.

Since every one likes to glamorize peoples indulgences ....

I have been around that stuff plenty and much rather deal with a narcotic user than some one that drinks alcohol. Dope heads are just dull and slow. People drinking can just become obnoxious. It's all poison.....

I'm not condoning any kind of drug abuse here , I don't do drugs at all and have not for a long time. I just have observed over the last decade, the rise in popularity of drugs like oxycontin, Xanax, and other painkiller opiates. Also I've observed more addicts that like to do anything and everything at the same time. Like this guy for example , he was doing downers and opiates and liked to smoke crack, that's a recipe for disaster right there. It seems like this has really upped the death toll as opposed to somebody that just sticks to one drug. Not that doing any of them is ok but it's just a thought. RIP dude, you made the wrong decision man.

He was probably way past the point of making his own decisions. That shit turns you into a host for a self destructive parasite. True self is long gone.

Some things you just can't undo. There is no peace in that life. RIP.

Very sad. R.I.P.

But if someone says him and Layne are now jamming in heaven with Kurt Cobain, I'll puke.

Exactly ....

It's a shame that anyone has to fight this battle. Tragic when they lose it. RIP

It's sad and my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time, but it seems as if this has been a long time in the making.
