Which one do you prefer? Are mixing people present?

I guess i'd just need a little EQ for a bit more air in the mastering chain...

I feel it depends on whether or not bass and vocals are eventually going be added to the mix.
Like RaceU4her said, may need to be somewhere in the middle, especially if both were added, imo.
Otherwise, I personally prefer the cone track.
 
There's bass in the clip. Loads of bass.

Sorry, I'm half deaf without CI batteries and headphones.

Yeah, I agree that somewhere in the middle would be ideal for me. Although, as they are right now, I prefer the first half.

EQ tip: Try scooping out some lower mids as well as what you're doing to the high-end. That would bring out some air and life on the guitars as well. Compared to the CC clip, your mids definitely sound a tiny bit cloudier.
