Am I correct in thinking the G-Major can control the Einstei

If you use the g-major or the replifex for switching you have to plug a stereo cable into
the channell input. Then you can switch both - channel and master via e.g. one g-major or one replifex.

When you use a switch with only the master input, you can or have to use another footswitch (or device) to plug into the channel input- means, you can/have to switch the two functions with two footswitches (or devices like g-major) seperately.

Actually it is very simple, just give it a try!

am i stupid or am i understanding that the g major will change the modes in channel 1 witout doing the so called mod.?????

I'm confused as well.
In my opinion, Channel/Master means you can switch just that, not the three modes. You'll need either a switching output with TRS connections and use microphone cable (2 signal wires, 1 screen) with TRS jacks on each end, or (like in the Behringer FCB 1010) two "mono" (single) switching outputs and an insert cable (2x TS - 1x TRS).
The Master input allows you to just toggle between Master 1/2 with a simple single footswitch via mono instrument cable.

Duesentrieb confirmed the switchable modes theory, but I don't think that's true.

It needs to be modded to switch the modes.

Right.

You have to fix an additional stereo jack and have to connect it (three wires) to the front- switch (see Düsentriebs mod!!!). Then you can switch the three mods either with a pedal like Düsentrieb builds them or with a device e.g. like G-Major, Replifex/Multivalve, Vermona Loop Jack etc.
