Guys, if Bruce pulls this off again, do yourselves a favor and go no matter what it takes. It's so much darn fun and just a great overall experience. Still have my Seminar head and it will never leave my possession.

Love to do this. I'm good if it could be held any where from Des Moines to western Michigan. Chicago would be just lovely.
I dont care what kind of amp we would build. It would just be nice to get out of HERE for awhile and do something fun!

Why wouldn't he just do it in his own shop like he always has?

BTW, do whatever it takes to make it.

I would probably do it a 3rd time.

I'm definitely interested. I wish I would have known about this when you were doing the moddified Marshall seminar head. Still have yet to play one of those...

YES, I would love a building class, would love to do a med to modern gain machine

I would do the class again even if we built the same amp. How about a Trainwreck Express type amp, maybe with a PPIMV so it can be used at lower volumes.

What about a session that focus's on modding, everyone loves to tweak.
Just a few ex:
Take a few familiar amps, learn where to focus in on the schematics for your approach for say (ex:)
- Add more focused low end,
- more gain,
- tune the high end.
- Take a existing feature and make it foot switchable.

I have had more than my share of amps and some of them had maybe one thing that I really didn't like about them that made me sell them. (ex: Rivera Tre's high end)

Bruce, I've been rethinking this, and I think a super high gain amp like the Armageddon would be a very cool build. Low wattage, voxy, and mid gain amps are everywhere and easy to build. High gain amps that don't get muddy or buzzy are much more rare, and building them would give the students a unique opportunity.

The man makes a good point.

He's not going to do SUPER high gain. trust me.

The noise and trouble shooting will be a headache and a half.

If you've never built an amp, you don't start with an Armageddon.

Gene is right. A simple "biblical event" would suffice.

Where when? and how do we et notified of this when its gonna happen?

I vote for a Lunchbox Armageddon, with built in ISP!

or...

make it a 50ish watt 2x12 combo!!

or a Medium high gain (ala, gain around 1 or 2) for some good hard rock to metal crunch!

but make it different...(tweaker sized or combo!)

I kinda agree with some of the other posters....a super high gain head would be too much to bite off. I'm thinking low wattage, Matchless style amp.
