Reverb can suck my ass and here is why

I made large purchase from those douche bags at "pro audio star" on some midas in ear monitor stations for my business.

They said they would allow me to return with a 15% restocking fee. Really? it was not a special order, I was cool to eat the shipping there and to me of course, but not a restocking fee. So I contact Reverb and they did absolutely nothing to defend or help me out, even though it said I could return on pro audio dicks return terms.

The devil in the details...

Yes, they're selling through Reverb, but it sounds like your anger with Reverb in this instance is misplaced. I've bought from the same seller, and they offer some stuff at great prices, and everything I've bought "used" from them has been basically new. That said, Pro Audio Star has a reputation for being a bit difficult, so I'm not sure why you expected Reverb to overturn PAS's written policy. They have to be fair to both buyers and sellers.

Yes the devil is in the details , read the return policy again

It says items can be returned in original packaging within 30 days ... it then says items that have been opened will be subject to a restock fee... so why charge me a restock fee if everything was factory sealed and within the 30 days ?

reverb did absolutely nothing to protect me the buyer in this situation.

It did not say there were no returns allowed at all on the sellers return policy. I had to beg them to take it back and then they dropped the 15% restocking fee on me

And In fact it said that items can be returned in original packaging with no mention of any restocking fee either on items returned in original packaging.

This is the second time they fucked me around , first time they shipped me the same item 3 times and fedex destroyed it 3 times. After that I said forget it and attempted to bring it back.. and guess what ? They wanted to charge me a 20 % restocking fee. Seriously? Fedex destroys the items 3 times in a row and that's my fault ?

They may have good deals but they are shady and very poorly managed.

I like how they're now forcing you to purchase shipping protection for items sold over $1500. I understand its a good idea, but they jack it way up. I just sold an item for $1650, and they took $196 of it in fees, and additional shipping, on top of the actual shipping, (an extra $38). Its all fine and good, but should something happen, good luck calling them.

Im done selling there. Fuck them. I'll buy, but done selling.

They are shady. They post some sick deals on items they don't have, then keep your money and try to upsell. They're notorious for bait & switch.

proaudiostar sucks. I bought a “mint” Charvel. What I got was a clearly marked b-stock with a crack in the neck pocket. A mint rearing would be few of dings, dents and cracks. The tried pulling the same restock crap.

Reverb & Ebay buyer here, ive never not had anything but 100% feedback in 16 years.
Ive made big purchases on both without issues.
My local shop has a Reverb page, he sold an original Korina Flying V from the 50's, Reverb payed him over $140,000 but it took a while to clear Customs.
Ive actually twice gone to sign up on Reverb as a seller only to get to the part about my banking info/ no dice.
Heard too many hostage situations with people & their money.
I sell/trade local which doesn't work for me over the internet. Im not going to ship gear to someone hoping they fulfill their end of the deal with no buyer protection.
Paypal has always treated me decent with complaints, never had to use Reverb CS but from what ive heard since esty took over Reverb customer service is non-existent.
Seems Reverb has no problem screwing people with impunity because they can.
There was a point & time folks like that were forced out of business or brought up on charges.
All starts at the top and can get way worse than it is now.
I don't see any reason why it won't.
