Saw them live way back in the day.......the turnoff for me was they looked, acted, sounded like heroin addict douchebags of the absolute lowest form. Have a few catchy riffs, but I am certain they have many more contagious diseases than tunes.

Ymmv.
Just an FYI: Majority of that band has been completely sober for a very long time. Josh (singer) more that 25 years actually.

Good for them.

I have battled addictions myself.

They just creep me out...Ymmv.

Just can’t get into the singer. He has the roughness but no decent melodic ability. Where someone like Bon had great control on melody and had a good range. As a band they have good sound with the instruments.
I hear what you're talking about. For me he's able to get into melodic territory while still being very rough and raw.

You can tell Bon is one of his influences

Like it or not that’s part of rock and roll . Some of these folks that actually produce entertaining music are not model citizens. Fill in the blanks with Motley Crue etc.

I've only just discovered these guys even though I've known the name for years.

Turns out they're playing at a local bar here in Australia at the end of the month so can't wait to see them live.

I really got into their debut album back in '99?. It's just some straight-ahead fun rock-n-roll. The whole album was pretty damn good. I haven't really listened to anything since then, but wouldn't mind. They always seemed like a fun band.

We used to jam on a couple of their tunes for warmup at the time.

They could have been the next Aerosmith type band for years . I can’t believe how they fucked it up . They are back but that hurt them

My opinion. Don't like em.

In my opinion they "fucked it up" the same way many bands do: They lost their chemistry and songwriting by way of a line-up change. When Keith Nelson (guitar) and Devon Glenn (drums) left (at about the same time) the entire character of that band changed. Very similar situation with Izzy and Steven from GNR. If your have a rock or metal band and things are working well...THE LAST thing you want to do is replace the rhythm guitarist or drummer...Or both, particularly if the two work well together.

This is totally what I was talking about . Just crazy

I liked their first two albums before the first breakup in 2002. When they reformed with the crazy bitch album, I didn't like much of anything.

Don't think I've heard the early stuff yet so i'll have to go further back

Friend of ours Kelly is the bass player, he’s done stuff locally here with Paul Gilbert and Doug Rappopprt too, really good musician.....one of the guitar player guys owns Rock n Roll Relics.

Ask Kelly if he ever needs a guitarist for a new band to hit me up lol would love to jam with him . He’s the perfect solid bass player for rock

Haha will do, he’s a character. Here he is with Rappoport and The DCs pulling double duty and opening for Buckcherry here in PDX. Singer is another PDX friend Stephen McSwain of McSwain Guitars:

Small tiny club gig locally with The DCs, same lineup:

I have a Rock and Roll Relics double cut . One of my favorite guitars.

Just listened to their second album this morning while working out - from 2005? It's pretty good, probably as good as the debut. Only even thought of that due to this thread.
