Been looking for an audio interface for my iPad Pro and the SSL 2+ looks nice. Anyone using it with an iOS device? Opinions?

Buuuump

Curious myself. Need to grab a new AI. These look pretty good for the $

I don’t have an SSL2+ but I’ve used a UR12 with an older pro 9.7” that worked just fine with the lightning usb adapter. I use a MOTU M2 now but haven’t used it with my tablet. Can’t imagine an SSL 2+ won’t work with the new iPads.

If price is right, try it. Latency/performance is less an issue with connecting to apple products in my experience.

Ssl 12 ordered last night. We'll see how it shakes out with new MBP.

Update:

The SSL12 works well with the new MBP.
I think the Apogee Duet with my old 2010 MBP is a bit warmer, more forgiving, easier to match volume levels.
The SSL12 is clear, records well, a bit more exact(?), direct sounding. There's definitely a learning curve there with the new GarageBand software and new interface.
The SSL 12 has more intuitive software, capabilities of more inputs, in addition to the 4 on board. Lots of cool free software to explore.

All in all, so far, the SSL12 seems like it's a very capable and great sounding interface. I look forward to growing into its full capabilities, when/if I ever get around to hunkering down and getting serious with recording.

Happy to answer any questions.
