Any TC Electronic Corona Chorus users?

For those of you who use it, how is it? Ive got a flashback and love it, been wanting a chorus pedal lately.
 
that pedal looks good but i have heard mixed reviews. the jpx pedal looks cool to because its a few pedals in one.
 
Some one had it here and said they sold it right awaybecause it was dull.
 
I bought the Corona Chorus....plugged it in for about 5 minutes and then stuck it back in the box! :thumbsdown: Nothing special at all...

Drove back to GC and swapped it out for a "2nd" Flashback delay and downloaded the "Tri-Chorus" TonePrint. Chorus toneprint sounds better than the Corona Chorus....and the Flashback is more versitile. :rock:
 
i use a mxr stereo chorus which is a little more haunting sounding then real 80's clean prestine sounding. i have heard great things about their new analog chorus. i dont love the chorus effect so i have a hard time telling people which one i love.
 
Cory (suhrimmetal) has the Corona Chorus on his pedal board right now, PM him :rock:
 
I think the Corona chorus sounds pretty good. I'm not a big chorus guy but it does a subtle chorus for clean tones well.

thats what I'm going for. the 80s chorus thing going on with leads and cleans

Thanks Dan... Yeah, I have the Corona on my pedal board. Though I use it very rarely and for only clean applications.. I do like it. I don't use alot of effect in my mix cuz I don't want to sound overly modulated or processed... but it does add a nice subtle chorus and warmth to the strings...especially in clean applications which is why I got one. I have never used a chorus for leads or any rhythm tone so can't speak as far as how it works there.. To each his own, but I find chorus to 'warp' or 'warble' the articulation.. which I don't like when playing lead or od rhythm..but some like that effect and Im more than certain the Corona could pull it off... I like that 'lil' bit of 'color' it adds and a bit 3d'ness it gives to my clean channel. If you're looking for a subtle chorus that can go deeper if need be, the Corona is more than sufficient. Also, the true bypass/buffer/kill dry feature on all the TC pedals is a great feature...not to mention the toneprints. I have the Flashback and Corona... very pleased with both..and use my Flashback for every lead! Hope that helps a bit. All the best

I had one and I thought it was ok, nothing really special about it. I had a Retro-Sonic Chorus that was a lot better sounding but I found that pedal a bit much since I didn't like the vibrato side and didn't feel like spending the extra dough on a feature I wouldn't use. I got an old Boss CE-2 now and it's awesome.
 
Try the Jacques Meistersinger...even though I'm not a huge chorus guy I love mine. In fact I'm fixing to buy another one...the new updated version. Great chorus pedal. Even though I really only use it for clean stuff.

I also own the Digitech Chorus Factory that I basically picked up for nothing...it's actually a really good chorus pedal. I agree with others on the Corona...it's ok. I actually like that idea of the Flashback and downloading the Tri-Chorus. Cool.

Still...check out the Meistersinger...great sounding simple chorus pedal.
 
there are so many great chorus pedals out there right now.ive used the corona for bout 3 months now...Im partial to the original tc chorus/flanger pedal-thats my fav,but bang for buck,true bypass or buffered,and its very small,plus u can get some kicking toneprint downloads-that all spells out a pretty good value.
 
I bought a flashback-loved it, soI bought a corona. Hated it, threw it back in the box. Found a tune I liked that used chorus, so I pulled it back out. After tweaking it for a while, I absolutely love it-strange twist. Does a lot of tones-maybe not warm and gushy though. Gets old leppard- Tow Sawyer sounds easily.
 
+1 on the Jacques. I bought a corona specifically to replace the Jacques but when I put them next to each other the choice was clear. Not even close. Jacques was deeper, more rich, and warmer. Amazing chorus pedal. I'm jonsing for the updated true bypass version so if that sort of thing isn't a concern for you id make you a good deal on mine. Either way it's a chorus pedal that should not be missed!

Probably true, but if don't want deeper and richer analog, the corona is great when used in context. I think the exar chorus is a Jacques with true bypass-may be wrong though.

I just found the corona too shallow. When someone tells me it can do a tri-chorus I'm expecting serious 80s style LA chorus and it just wasn't lush enough for me. I just couldn't get it wet enough (that's what she said!)

Thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out. But now that Jacques makes a TB version it will be hard to beat for me.
