Yep, the Red is the one that can actually get quite close to the real blue channel.

My Red arrived today, it sounds really close to my 100B Red channel. I don't agree with your statement, bothe Red and Blue pedals sound close to the corresponding channels on the amp. The Red has more compression and low end growl than the Blue. Both get the thumbs up from me!

This would be very bizarre and the first time I've heard any comments along these lines.

I don't have a n XTC amp to compare the pedals against however I'm very happy with both my Blue and Red pedals.

Owners of an XTC amp say that the Blue pedals jump in volume is very similar to how the amps blue channel works. I guess if you want the pedal for balanced low and medium gain then it could be an issue but that's not the intended target for the pedal.

I use the Blue specifically for lower gain with the pedal set to plexi, neutral, 101, drive set fairly low and the boost switched on. It fills the sound out very nicely

I just bought one off the classifieds , Watched about 5 demos and the thing sounds amazing .going to run it into a small clean combo at home for practice

Man I hope I don't fall in love and have to actually end up buy one of his amps :scared:

I am seeing reviews where the new Burnley and Wessex pedals are even better, fatter and more full, smoother!

All Bogner stuff is great .he has a signature sound I think with all his lines ,from pedals to the amps

Do you guys think his pedals are overkill with a Bogner amp? Too redundant?

Not at all. The pedals add flavours that can be mixed and matched. I used the bogner blue through the clean channel of the shiva for lower gain and the shiva drive channel (only) for higher gain.

Dunno, but I think the Red captures enough of the blue channel vibe with low gain settings. I guess I need to play a Blue pedal again but I am in love with the Red as I feel it can capture a LOT of the real Ecstasy mojo. One thing is for certain as Supersonic stated - both get scary close to the real feel and tone of an Ecstasy.

I finally had a chance to play the new Bogner Burnley and I think it is fatter and smoother than the Red pedal and might even be more amp like!
Nice work Xotic! I still may say that my Xotic BB is my favorite OD/Distortion pedal of all time.
