You're probably the first one here to listen to it besides me. :ROFLMAO:
Definitely no one has watched it or there would probably be more posts...
They're not my favorite band, but I like to listen to them sometimes. Anyway, I prefer some of their older stuff (Midian, Nymphetamine). I don't really like their newer production, maybe because of the drummer change. However, OP clip sounds good.

I love all their older stuff through Bitter Suites, with Midian being my favorite.
Damnation was good but a bit too polished and formulaic for my taste and their last album that I really got to know.

I’m just adhering to the strict black metal rule book. In that it’s not black metal until at least one band member has brutally killed someone. And it can’t be an accidental running over somebody in the driveway while backing up scenario either. But I think the black metal credit scoreboard goes something like 3 church burnings = 1 murder so there are installment plans available too
Indeed, gotta have standards.

A little too extreme for me. I much prefer to listen to..............

Maybe because of my advancing age, and nostalgia for older music / genres / forms, a lot of newer metal releases just sound derivative to me, not really hearing anything that pushes into new / uncharted territory.

most "popular" music genres are formulaic (I mean you can't get any more formulaic than Kiss, right? yet I enjoy it) I tried listening to new metal releases a few times, even from old bands I like, and get bored fast...few exceptions: Stryper, Dream Theater, Cynic, and a few more.

These types of bands pushed me away from 90's BM ( what little I liked) and further into thrash and DM during the 90's

lost interest in CoF after Damnation and a Day .. it all became very formulaic to my ears. I do listen to every new release and little things here and there sound good but nothing ever draws me in to repeat plays of the albums or even individual songs.

Cruelty and the Beast is an absolute MASTERPIECE

I got nothing against satanic music in general. I’m just a little less of a death core metal fan really. I’m more into just regular hard rock. And I have a nostalgic twinge for shit like The Beatles and The Doors.

I’m actually in the middle of a thing with my wife and the whole being on fire for Jesus shit. My wife’s sister’s husband is in the hospital dying. He’s in a last ditch surgery to save his life as we speak and he has a 20% chance of coming out the other end as a living person. About 6 months ago they ( my wife’s sister and her husband and son) got involved in some church. The church people are with her at the hospital 100% of the time. They’re kinda weird. Understand, I don’t mind Christians. I was raised as one and my folks still are. But having it consume 100% of your life is fucking weird. Like a cult weird. Her sister already never shuts up, but now when we’re sitting there and the doctor is trying to explain what’s happening she keeps interrupting and constantly says “ praise Jesus”. I’m at work, my wife is at the hospital and just called me to talk her off the ledge because she wants to kill her sister and everyone in the room. I explained to her that she needs to chill and maybe just listen to some Alice In Chains in her head while her sister is virtue signaling or whatever the fuck it is. Her husband is dying and my wife loves her sister so she needs to be supportive.

Anyway, no idea why I thought sharing this here with y’all made sense but fuck it.

John Lennon once said “ Jesus was great, it’s his followers that are a bit daft”. Obviously I don’t mean this to apply to all Christians. Some people like to “ interpret” the Bible to suit them though. Which whatever, I just don’t want to be involved in it.

Carry on. My apologies.

Love CoF and the new tracks released are great. Classic CoF with better production.

Also Ashok is a fucking badass guitar player. His old band, well a band he was in for a few albums, called Root from the Czech Republic is rad too. He had some killer “Andy LaRocque meets Satriani” styles lead playing on their stuff.

I live in the bible belt, so I understand. When I was a child, i believed in santa claus, and the easter bunny too.

I really have no problems with most Christians. I think they have been under attack from the left since Bill Clinton’s administration. I don’t like the pushing and the virtue signaling by some of them. And I sure as hell don’t want any legislation that codifies anything specific to Christianity. Note the distinction. I mean Christianity doesn’t have a patent on “ Thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife”, etc. if that makes sense.
