Man, Larocque never sounded better! Plays his leads to the tee. Mike Wead is no slouch either, but he's not as impressive for some reason, (wish Pete was "Bakk").

The biggest surprise is King. He's on point. I expected him to struggle with age, but he's on key, and on his game.

It's worth the price of admission, for sure. Production is great, but my only complaint is the level is pretty low. You really have to crank the volume, (but you really should anyway)!

Been listening on Apple Music. Tasty stuff!! Sounds as though time went backward!

I've been on a King Diamond tear these past couple weeks. I just can't get past the Larocque/Blakk blistering leads on Them and Conspiracy. It's totally sick.

I feel like Andy and Pete were extremely similar in style, like I was the biggest LaRocque fan boy a decade ago and I had trouble telling who was playing what on those albums.

Andy's vibrato was the tell-tale, for me. So fluent, and at times, you'd swear it was a tremolo, but it was his touch. I've said it many times, these Swedes have something in the water. I suppose it's the neo-classical influences they have over there, but they just master technique, especially something as simple as vibrato.

It's phenomenal!
I picked up the Blu Ray and absolutely love it!

Picture and audio quality are fantastic.
All I had prior to this was a bad DVD bootleg. BIG upgrade to say the least. :)

got the dvd a couple days ago, love it. Cant believe he sounds so good, didnt even have to alter the tunings so he could hit those notes. My biggest disappointment is def mike wead. I think his playing is up to par compared to the stuff im used to hearing from kings older stuff.

King Diamond is probably one of the most underrated vocalists of our time.

When Mercyful Fate can out, they so blew away all the other bands at the time it was pathetic. Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica weren't even invented yet. The best was Iron Maiden, DIO, Judas Priest stuff like that and then we heard Mercyful Fate and went "WTF?, now this is the shit!"

I'm so happy to see that another generation will experience KD!

Been listening to it on Spotify. He definitely sounds great! I was thinking he was sick several years back, and was really struggling.

Love the King, but keep in mind that with a few exceptions, a live record hasn’t been truly live since the early 70s.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I have to check this out.

I have the Abigail live album, and King Diamond hits all the right pitches on that one too.

King mentioned the last few years he gave up smoking and drinking, the new regime has made his voice "better than ever". And it shows, there is very little straining on his voice on the high notes, and the female BU vocalist is wayyyy cooler than running all the harmonies on the backing track.

It does sound they are running to a click however? Not a bad thing... just means there may be some stuff running on the backing track. Also doesn't seem like there are over dubs... must of just been a great performance. Tight AF!

Guitars sound great, wonder what the rig was

He had a heart attack and nearly died. Had triple bypass, then married a 26 year old. He's now 62, and she's 34. I think he just had a baby in like 2017.

I’ve watched this in full twice. It’s really good quality and sounds about like a studio album.

Wead has lost a step over the last few years though he can still bring the goods.. is this Live or is it "Live" like Kiss Alive I & II where half of it is touched up? Sounds like the latter if i am a betting man.

bingo..and this is no exception. While he was struggling a few years back, in recent times his voice is def. better live but if you want to hear what he really sounds like, go on youtube and watch any of the fan perspective phone recordings. He sounds good for live but by no means is this polished.

Yeah, definitely check out YouTube. I saw them live 2 years ago and I have to say, King sounded as good here in Vegas as he does on these recordings. I have seen some hit or miss stuff on YT but sheesh... for what he does I give him some leeway for sure
