curious how much difference you notice comparing the Boogie 395 power amp to the crown?

VERY different, imo. The Simul 395 adds that girth and smoothness to the center Dry tone, and mixes well together to give a net overall tone result, that I like. The Crown is a bit more 'transparent', I suppose. It surprised me how good it sounded. Best part was I got it free, so that doesn't suck.
