Of course, I love the PT100, it is my favorite amp right now. Just a little delay in the loop and it works like a champ. The VH4 is more compressed than the PT. Both have their purpose.

So you are gonna be a 2 amp guy??? A VH4S and a PT100. Great amps to have...that's for sure.

Eric

looks that way.

You will be able to download all the new settings for your older g sys. The only difference will be the input. If you don't use the wah effect then plug into the loop 1 input and bypass the ad/da converter.

FYI....I just ordered one from Guitar Center, got 10% off with a can of food and it ships tomorrow.

Welll ain't this some shit. Just got mine...and it's defective. Won't start up at all :(

The red does look great though! Back to AMS for an exchange...*sigh*

Eric

Red is cool. Check the avatar!

For those that have received it - Is the front end better? ( I'm debating getting this or just using the Axe Fx). Less rack space if this as good.

Is the face as off color from the sides as the pics seem to be?

What the difference besides the color?

I love my G

Well, has anyone been able play through this thing yet? Verdict?

Mine ships out this week from Sweetwater. I am anxious as I used to own the silver one and thought it was great, so the Red one cannot disappoint. Will be running W/D/W with Bogner XTC Classic, but will give the 4 cable method a try as well to see if the new analog circuit is any better!!!!

Cool thanks! I had a silver one at one point as well. Seems that when I ran in 4 cable method the input was not all that great. Curious how the new one compares.

Just arrived today. I won't be able to test it for a couple of days. But, it looks great. I'm hoping to replace every effect in my signature other than the BB preamp.

Hey rareguitar, great call on that eBay seller! I'm in NY, so it cost me a bit more. But it was an easy transaction.

Is there anyone that has tried the new Ltd with an Eganter M4 (aeoric? anyone?). According to Laird's whitepaper, you need a signal buffer (he uses a valvulator) in between the guitar and g-system to eliminate tone suck when using it with an M4. I'm wondering if the redesigned input eliminates the need for this. I'm just trying to determine if its worth the extra $$ for the Ltd vs. picking up a used silver one. It would be nice to not need the buffer.

I haven't tried it yet...since the first one that I got from AMS was DOA. I should have another one by EOW, and I'll be able to test it.

Got mine today from Sweetwater. Luckily not DOA.... So far with the Bogner it seems to match up impedance wise better than the old one. Also messing with the parallel loop and kill dry has been cool as well. No verdict yet as just started to dive in. Will give better review once I have had time to tweak more. Lairds setup document is a great starting point for anybody who is just getting one of these BTW.

Can you post a link to Laird's setup doc?
