I kinda agree, but I also think sitcoms are dead. They seemed really lame and contrived now....I was never a real fan of crap like Friends, and especially Seinfeld....most overrated show ever. :thumbsdown:

Nothing in common IMHO. Survivor is more "real" that scripted and fake WWF wrestling. PLus, I'd rather watch Survivor or American Idol over Friends or Seinfeld reruns.

Plus, you can't argue ratings. Isn't American Idol the biggest TV show ever? THey get more people to vote than the USA does for Presidential elections, which is actually pretty sad.

I killed my TV 21 years ago and haven't missed it. Who's got the time to sit and watch any of it??

The American Idol version was about twice as fast as it should be. I think Carrie Underwear was trying to singing it the right way.

Both versions are actually Slow. Being the sap that I am, I have that song on my compute, and when you use a BPM counter like this http://www.dcdancenet.com/toyprograms/bpm.html

The original is about 88 BPM, the idol version is 84 and the Carrie Underwear with Heart is only 72.

- I would be just fine if my TV only got the Military Channel, History Channel, and Learning Channel.
- I would love to split Paula Abdul and Carrie Sportawood in half, then again in fourths (and I mean "split" in a good way)
- Gretchen Wilson can sing better than 99% of all popular female artists and she writes alot of her own stuff
- Someone in the Heart camp is a master at keeping them "alive" by tagging alongside new talent (I like old Heart, but come on...)
- They need to go back to "blurring" the picture when Ann Wilson is in the shot (like they used to do in their '80s vids)

there are some quality pipes on that show....not a ton, but a few. And say what you will about the other 2, but Randy Jackson has more than proved his worth in the music industry.

Ill admit though, my girlfriend steals the remote and makes me watch Top Chef. But man, ever since we got an HDTV she's been watching the Food Network religiously and her cooking has gone through the roof. :lol: :LOL:
 
I am the only person who heard that sweet fat tone on the guitars and the Orange cabinets? Blasphemy! Arguing about a show full of douchebags when there was some real tone to listen too!
