At first you're like wtf was that and then you go back and hit that pinch harmonic again just to be sure. I thought so. Where the hell did that come from. Rush back to swap your Winged C el34's back in. No way. Yep way. GL77's all the way. Never coming out again. I miss my 20th.Ventura":rxk8zpj6 said:RSRD":rxk8zpj6 said:But Ventura. I have run =C='s and now have EL34 BHT's and it sounds awesome but want know if the KT's will make it even better for me and what I want before I spend big $$$$ on those GL's. Thanks
Sure thing - little more sparkle, the notes are livelier, and overall it just seems a touch more open and rich - still retains its presence, still retains if not adds some shine - but as a fellow Bognerite explained to me, with the Gold Lion KT77s, the notes just 'dance' off the cabinet a little more. I couldn't agree more. They sound incredible - and this was a very noticeable difference immediately. Will I go back to EL34s? Maybe for a change, but I think as it stands right now - I'm sticking with the KT77s by Gold Lion. It really took an already incredible amp and just added some WOW to it even more.
To each their own, however... Your ears may say differently.
Peace,

I love your old amp!
I have some GL Kt77's ready to go in right now!
