I have always been curious about the 4x12 version... Anyone have one back in the day or still use and how would they be for hard Rock/ Metal ?

I did see the other thread just now and there seems to be a bunch of complaints with the price but have you noticed lately that all 4x12's have really gone up. I think the Friedman, Soldano, etc. are all pretty damn close in cost but I think with the right dealer there's always some room for negotiation for a drop ship order.

I really just want to know if they are great sounding cabs... Anyone, anyone???

BAD makes all the Friedman and Soldanos, and possibly Diezel.

Something about the metal Grill on those Mesa 4x12's has always looked so damn mean and cool to me!

I was in the minority that hated them.

They would be way more expensive with EVM12L's, not to mention way more heavy, but totally worth it.

I had the 2x12 version loaded with EVM12L's, and made a couple backs for it. One to close off half the top, the other to seal it completely. With the top sealed up it was by far my most brutal cab for metal I ever played through. That includes the Mesa, Marshall, Bogner, Hiwatt, and Matamp 4x12's I've owned.
