Anyone try one of these? Chinese SLO preamp

I have a BAD SLO 100 Custom
The new SLO has a great loop.
you can also use it as a level for boosting your channels wether something or nothing is looped through it. there's a volume in back that when you activate the loop via the foot switch, it will boost your output for both channels. so you can set it with a delay, hit the loop switch and boost your solo..
or, you can be in overdrive, and chigga chuggin along and your solo is coming up!!! oh no!! non more boost???? not so...
you can set it to make your ears bleed...so you can have normal/ boost and overdrive/ boost

Sounds like some great useful improvements to me.

Seriously, if you ever have a chance to plug into one locally try it. Bring a boost pedal for fun. They can sound amazing. Sure, not a tight metal machine like a Hermansson mod but they sound friggin killer through the right speakers, and with a boost very similar to a modded Marshall.

Again, this is the typical 'clips suck' thing where the amp actually destroys buildings in person. Lol
Just my opinion, after owning 4. They are easily a top 10 amp for me; closer to top 5.

The SLO30 I have is one of the best metal amps I've owned...easily top 5 maybe even top 3. Boosted, it's tight AF and chugs with clarity, cut, and ferocity.

Ya it's a lot better than the old ones.
this is my third SLO.
you can also bypass the effect loop altogether as well.
more on topic, i also have the pedal.
it sounds pretty much spot on. if i may be so bold..
through a fender type amp, it sounds a little more refined than a actual SLO. not as spitty at lower volumes.
lots of fun
only wish they made it two channel like the amp.

im still wondering why three or four times now youve claimed i said the DSL is the greatest thing ever trying to attack me or something when everyone here knows i never said that, and even if i did actually say that its weird that would bother you so much to keep bringing it up. i mean of all my amps id guess the DSL is probably id guess about 14th on the "time discussed" list, i never even made real clips of the thing lol. if that makes you feel better though about the slo being the most overhyped amp ever its cool
 
I have one, it’s legit. I’ve had his SLO, his JCM800, Recto and his E530 for a few years now. I A/B’d the E530 with a real one, sounds exactly the same but the EQ knobs have different frequencies/tapers. I would not trust the plastic shell on tour.

You’re not making this any easier on me with my urge to buy one lol . I’m not necessarily a metal player but I do play those tight palm mutes that George Lynch and Warren DeMartini got back in the day on their 80s albums

This is good to know. I’ve got the SLO pedal and I love it but I’ve never had a Soldano to compare it to. Playing it through a Blackstar Amp 1 and some Creamback 65s it really does sound good though

But I have to say, when it comes to your obsession on the SLO "king" or whatever bothers you about some dumb youtube video about it, you kinda come off like Charvel Dan used to...hate to say that, but he used to rip on and criticize amps all the time....

That he's never played or even seen in person. Yet he ripped them to shreds, with absolutely no experience at all.

Go try an SLO, find out for yourself before ripping the shit out of one and making yourself into another Charvel Dan.

please dude, the only obsession going on is this weird thing you got against me now where you just admitted to continually pulling shit out of your ass to advance whatever agenda it is against me you got going on, then you double down and start again with even more absurd bullshit. i want to know what was the last tender nerve i hit on you that made you say thats it, time to take this dude on?? ive sent more than a few into epic meltdowns against me over the years but those were all justified, with you though im not exactly sure what could have triggered all this animosity and i really want to get to the bottom of it. im actually kind of proud getting compared to charvel dan, very few have been able to hit such sensitive nerves as him, i did it without even knowing or trying!! :ROFLMAO:

No animosity; my apologies if I went overboard. I just think it's kinda silly to go all out and make fun of an amp you've never played; or even heard in person. Like Charvel Dan used to do. If a bunch of clown you tubers are calling the SLO king, who cares. It's not, in my book anyway. It's a very cool rock/hard rock amp that has great clarity and push similar to a Wizard, and with the right boost might be able to do metal?
But I'm not a metal player so that's not really my thing. If I could keep my fav 10 amps, I'd still have one. But I can't, so I don't.
