I had one on a Gibson SG that wouldn’t stay in tune. And the FRX made no difference-it still wouldn’t stay in tune. Probably more of an issue with the SG and less of the Floyd. The FRX was easy to install and required less force and spring tension to do dive bombs.

If anyone has an EBMM Armada or Sully Raven, I think the shapes of those guitars would compliment yhe FRX.

Installed! It took me an hour and a half because I read the instructions and watched Floyd's video, c'mon the guy invented it, well, designed it. It is better than any other tremolo I've used. It is very similar to the Steinberger tremolo with the one big spring. I've been hammering away on it and it comes back to perfect tuning.

I set it up to float. It has a unique ball screw that you adjust to fit in a little piece of metal with a slight indentation so it always returns in tune, brilliant!!!

Here's a picture of the ball screw and pocket with me holding down on the bar, as soon as I let go, the ball seats into the pocket.

Very interesting. Did you screw the locking nut into the LP headstock ? Could you post more pics please ? For some time, I've been seriously thinking about buying a cheap used but decent SG 61 reissue for the sole purpose of installing a FRX in it. I don't wanna butcher my nice main LP but still want a Gibbo with a trem. I actually prefer the idea of the FRX to the real floyd with all the routing in the body.

I have found the frx to be stable even without the ball screw installed. This even more true if you use the trem stopper as with a dtuna installed. I'll snap some photos and share as well.

I am very interested to see what you think about this trem Marked

Dang I want one for my Explorer but it has gold hardware and >$400 is a no.

I checked the site and it seems the chrome and satin chrome are sold out (for <$300). But there are plenty of >$400 gold ones left! Figures.
