(disclamer) i own a Rivera TBR 1M head from 'rack' era...and remember thinking at the time that it was a 'mother of all amps'.... after 'it' none should even bother...and yet, as years have gone by there is less and less talk of the brand....

or maybe im just not up to date on stuff ?(stopped playing actively for a while...got a haircut and a job...)

i mean, i got it because it sounded better than...

just to be clear, im not about to put it up on a market...not the reason im asking this...

i clearly remember that there was a whole bunch of fender and marshall 'killers' on the market in the 90's/00's and we could all hear them with our own ears...did they all fail?

....were they just fashionable? ...is 'sound' coming in and going out of fashion ?... are we all that fn gullible ?... is this all an illusion ?(...you get the drift....)

i know Tool is using Rivera now and Slipknot was and may still be, cant get much bigger names than that so no i dont think people are over them

i dont see any new stuff from them...so i thought...maybe they folded or something...they had a stint with a whole bunch of new models 'few' years back and since then...nada...maybe they are not metal enough for ppl today or clean enough for pop music....even though my gen used them for fender and marshal tones in one amp...
glad to hear they didn't go matchless way...

I got new Slipknot Guitar World Magazine and it seems mick dumped Rivera for Omega Amp Works now . Jim uses Friedman mixed with his Orange amp . That’s as of todats update . Sounds like micks contract is up

I was wondering myself if they folded but I also didn’t look into it

could be...no pay...no play :p

an M100 is on the short list of amps id still like to grab, not sure why they never caught on more
...well...they were never actually cheap...and when you're small and expensive....and you dont have a 'story' like 'Slash' or 'Smash' or whatever...kids buy cheaper stuff...

Never heard Skid Row live in those days, but never found anything particularly great about their album tones. Jason Bieler from Saigon Kick turned them on to Rivera IIRC, but he had MONSTER tone…
Slave to the grind has got a fat tone . It’s pretty cool . But ya Jason did too

See this is where modelers make sense, i really don’t have the room for another head but if I could download an official patch for a few bucks and get 97% there id be all about it

It's almost as if they did fold up and disappeared which is kinda sad. Them and Fryette need to either release something new-ish or do what everyone else is doing and make a lunch box or small 50 watt. I love my K-tre but its a loud sonamabitch lol... I just checked and surprisingly there is a lot of Rivera stuff for sale on Sweetwater so not folded up yet.

I have one, I've got the TBR-1SL, LOVE this amp. Thing just screams.
