Moral of the story money or being able to afford to travel places doesn't outright buy you "knowledge" or accomplishes some deep "personal growth" that isn't attainable otherwise.


Not saying one can't find those things traveling but it's apparent it's not something bestowed to you automatically by traveling per example. If anything it lowers and hinders ones perspective of reality, understanding, knowledge and real personal growth from that perspective especially when you talk down to others less fortunate who can't afford to travel in such a manner.

Never mind things like affordable travel options, student and sister city exchange programs, working Visas, temporary migrant stays, tax claims and rebates on travel items, group allowances and discount flights and shared accommodation, home stay reductions, cheap connects/transfers, educational and employment programs, etc… etc…
