One goal is to minimize my income taxes in retirement, but I have several more years of alimony to pay and kids college which means it will take time to get to the lower tax bracket.

The other is to obtain a second passport.

When you're on a sinking ship you have a choice: work to keep it afloat, abandon ship or sink with it.

I've made my choice. Meanwhile, indifference works for me; and I'm in a location that believes in the Constitution and individual rights.

Enjoy the decline.

I'm looking forward to retirement; a coworker just retired last month after 40 years, I'm a few years behind, great reminder of the retirement goal and I need to accelerate it.
