Agreed. I find marks tend to get along with pretty much all cabs, speakers, pickups, boosts, etc

They look cumbersome somehow, can’t make myself like the look. I am a fan of head+cab form factor. Not like I’d refuse a 2c+ combo, but new hedashell would be at my door before the amp arrives lol

OP, that clip with V30s sounds good. If you used your JBLs with a C+, it’d be putting out so much ultra high frequency information that SETI would be picking it up

JBL's are awesome, maybe just tougher to record I'm guessing with the more extended lows and highs they have vs Celestions. IIC+'s are killer with them (what Metallica imo should've used over EV's) and chug with a way of moving air/punch that no celestion has in the cards. EVH was known to use them with 20w GB's, which is also an excellent mix IME. They're very hollow and scooped, won't be everyone's cup of tea, but killer in their own ways and IME when AB'ed the only Celestion's I've had that are better in 3D tone are Alnico Blues and '60's white voice coil 20M and 25H GB's

Fane Crescendo's also have a similar amount of highs, but not quite as sharp, Altec's aren't super far behind in highs, and '50's Cletron's/Roger Charles's make JBL's almost sound dark and lacking high end information as impossible as that seems lol

Congrats on the purchase. Btw @Yehuda; your chuggs are significantly improved. Sounding great there. Nothing like a great amp to inspire to play more.
