i think Krank got off to a bad start with some bad internet pr. didn't someone from the company mouth off pretty hard on HCAF in like 01 or 02?

Allen

although arguably still in business. with the new owners, no one is picking up the phone or answering emails.
wanted a Encore and got no place. called Carr for a Rambler and got it in 6 weeks via Soundpure.

Earforce was a German Amp company with the best modded saturated Marshall tone I ever experienced.

Peters Amps seems to have narrowed down their available options as well, doesn't look promising for the future..

I think the story was one of their employees was writing these overly positive reviews and got caught out for it, then flipped out when confronted. I think he actually got fired for that if I remember correctly. I think PRMike might have been involved with them too?

I do remember one ozzfest back then and I had a working pass and took pictures of the many bands that were using kranks that everyone thought were 5150s, even when i posted the pictures of all the krank rigs everyone still just still said the bands were using 5150s and framus cobras lol

Just checked them out look awesome now I want one haha that’s why I love threads like this

I don't believe Framus makes amps any longer. For a while the Cobra and Dragon had some street cred.

Just incredible. They also had an amazing clean channel, especially for a high gain channel switcher. Among the best demos available are the videos on YouTube by "Lasse Lammert"

I wouldn't call them awesome as I believe they only made a few amps, but DAR seemed so promising back in the day.

Agreed, they seemed so promising and intriguing, but didn’t live up to expectations for me. I had a DAR FBM and Forza and tried my friend’s Tuzzia. I wish they sounded as great as they looked. They sounded decent imo, maybe very good vs some amps depending what one has tried, but far from being among the best amps I’ve tried or the unicorns I was hoping for lol. More on the synthetic side of the spectrum, not what I’d really consider to be high quality tone
