Not sure who won that trade :ROFLMAO:
I also had some Gorilla practice combo way back like a tube blaster or turbo exploder, something corny sounding like that.

I ended up trading the Roc Pro for an acoustic electric, and bought a Carvin combo that I had for about 10 years iirc.

these may not be awesome to everyone else.

Diamond - had a Spec Op. and two of their 4x12 cabs. Cabs were uber awesome with the chrome grill like the Krank Cabs. Head was nice and very versatile

Krank- I had a Rev 1 half stack. it was pretty cool when I was into dime but became to harsh and moody. still have a 4x12 though. they are awesome
The bummer with the Diamond amps spec-ops is that it’s a complete ripoff of the CAA OD-100. Like so direct that the “designer” of the circuit was working on them while he worked at Custom Audio Electronics.

Probably an unpopular pick, but Krank. I've had two Krank Chadwick's and they were both pretty solid amps. My current one is the single channel with mercury magnetics transformers. I think if they made more amps like the Chadwick they might have lasted... That and a different looking logo

Chunky. Never should have sold the little combo I had.

I guess I’ll throw one in with Dar , never played one and they had shady business practices but they looked cool af and all the clips sounded stellar .

If Forbes magazine ever ran a top misfortune 500 companies piece, here's a good place to start.

It's too bad that Tony Krank isn't building amps. I bought this used Krank 1980 Jr. 20 watt amp head used off of Craig's List for a good price. I really liked the 1980 Jr. amp heads. The 1980 Jr. 20 & 50 watt head and 50 watt 1x12 combo was the next step after the Chadwick amp. It's a basically a 2 channel amp with a Krank channel that has JCM 800 style overdrive, a Kleen channel with 2 band EQ with an effects loop with a level control. There is also a Krank 1980 amp head with an 80 watt output in a bigger head shell was made around the same time period.

I've also bought this Stiff 90-AD amp head off of Reverb. This lunchbox style amp was a hand made amp made by Tony Krank. It was an amp company that he formed after Krank Amps went out of business. It was advertised a 50 watt amp head, but it had a 20 watt Vox transformer installed when I bought it. I had my local amp tech remove the Vox 20 watt output transformer and install a Pacific Audio Marshall 50 watt output transformer in the amp and a better speaker impedance switch that can be set at 16/8/4 ohms. The 90-AD amp head has a good tone & 50 watt output. This amp head was originally designed as their 100 watt amp head and it still has the holes punched in the amp chassis for the extra power tubes. It has the same Kleen & Krank channels like the 1980 Jr. amp heads along with an effects loop with send & return levels. The amp channels & effects loop are foot switchable allowing you to use the effects loop as a lead boost.

Seems like all the old amp manufacturers are on their last legs. Randall just slightly further down the drain than others. Peavey and Marshall really haven't done anything noteworthy in years.
