Always been a Bryan Adams fan and Keith Scott is such an underrated guitarist! Here's my take on "Somebody" from Bryan's 80's days using the Fractal Audio AX8.

I read somewhere that Keith used a Vox AC30 that had the preamp of a Hiwatt in it so the main rhythm in this track is just that. I panned hard left and right and also read that he used SLPs too so I beefed up the rhythm a little with that tone. Cabs/speakers are Ownhammer. The leads are just the SLP and the main solo I added the delay to make it a little spacey. As with all my clips, this is NOT a tone match...just having some fun and learning more about the AX8.

Keith Scott is definitely one of my all-time favourite players also… He has the ability to play what needs to be played… Nothing more, and nothing less… He also writes very cool riffs that stick in your head long after you've heard the song… Great guitar player, awesome musician!
Years ago guitar player magazine asked Eddie Van Halen who his favourite guitar players were and Keith Scott was one of his favorites…

Nice man...I love all the Bryan Adam rockers.
Cuts like a knife was such a GREAT ALBUM!

Nice recording man. Totally captured it.

Nice work! One of my all time favorite songs to play!

Reckless is just a perfect pop rock guitar record.

For some reason it made me think of this too...another 80's favorite.

Keith is a total pro. Writes, plays and sings in service of the songs and does it all beautifully. One of my favorites, definitely.

I suppose he also more or less is the only guy that recorded something with a Trainwreck, but I can´t remember which songs.

I have always liked Adams....that's a great tribute

Actually they were modded Hiwatts with a higher gain preamps. So he had the gain of a JCM800 with the chime and output of a Hiwatt.

I read that as well! Someone on his road crew or someone in the know posted about the AC30/hiwatt thing.
