Yeah I'm using the latest firmware now, the big factor that opened it up for me was getting the Red Wire cabinet impulses. They have totally reinvigorated my belief in the Axe-FX, adding the final touch of realism that was missing in the stock cabs. Highly recommended!
I auditioned the truncated versions that are designed for the axe-fx in my DAW, then transferred the ones I liked over. The room reflections are very cool, but not strictly necessary to get a good usable tone. I certainly don't feel like I'm missing out when I use the truncated versions.fearhk213":17941we4 said:I read that if you load those impulses into the Axe-Fx it removes room reflections due to size restrictions.
