I did som minor tweaks. Nothing major though, Peter Thorn did a great job on this preset. I engaged the SD-1 that was placed before the amp, changed the microphones to U87 and e609 and changed the settings on the amp a bit to better suit my guitar.

Man that sounded awesome!!

How close can you get the Axe FX to sounding like the Folkesson JMP?

Excellent clip man. The tones and playing kicked ass.

Thanks for the nice comments! I have only scratched the surface of what this unit can do so far. I haven't even tried all the amp models yet   The Folkesson sound is going to be a hard tone to copy byt the Brown model in the Axe-Fx is definitely in the same ballpark.

Im still really strongly considering having a Marshall modded by Tommy Folkesson with that MKIVc mod he does. Wish there were more clips or vids of that on the net though!!

First off I am a huge 80's and Lynch fan ..

Playing was awesome ..the Rythm was a lil too wet for my taste .Lead was great . It really sounded captured some air .Sounded like if you went into an empty arena soundcheck .that's kinda what the guitars miced through a huge pa would sound like ..

we must hear more 80's hair metal Scorps Ratt..great job

So are you digging this thing as much as I am? :D

All the best!!

There are a lot of them on the used market here in Sweden. It's a lot more expensive to send an amp to Tommy and have it modded but if you do that you can have him custom tailor it to your preferences.

You can find a lot of gear here http://www.vendolin.se

Not all sellers are willing to ship abroad though.

Thanks! The delay mix is set high on this preset. I made a couple of varations of this preset during the day and found a lot of cool tones. I tried replacing the Brown model with the Plexi model which made it more controlled sounding. I was jamming to a couple of Ratt songs and the guitar through the Axe-Fx sat really good in the mix.

Yes, so far it's been great but I have a lot more tweaking and testing to do before the final verdict. It still has to go through the band test. I'm going to try both running direct through the PA system and using it through the power amp of my JCM900.

Sounds cool. Very crispy!

It's usually very difficult to get that kind of high end with a modeller without it sounding very harsh and digital. The Axe-Fx pulled it of pretty good I think.

I think you should call that patch
Beast from the east ..

I just threw on Lynch's live solo from that cd

and ..yep ..thats pretty much his lead tone at least on that tour ..

great job again
