It's sorta stock, it has ganged inputs and a couple resistor tweeks. It sounded awesome for both. But that's just Ed. It's all in the hands! The Axe sounded great - love those wedges.
The Axe is great with acoustics. It is an awesome acoustic pre/direct/fx unit. Surprised there aren't more clips this way.

Dude I'm the first to say that I have my old amps for one simple reason...sentimental attachment. Would I wanna drag them cross continent so I have my fave set-up? Hell no, way too much hassle. Now here's my big negative...the head's self noise is way higher than the Axe-Fx...doh...
Which usually would never bug me if I'd use the head only, but since I have an immediate A/B...different story. And that is with a gate...
