Funny story......... I sold it about 2 months back......KICKING MYSELF THE WHOLE TIME.......but BOUGHT IT BACK from the guy I sold it too!! "Whew!!!" That was a close one! Anyone else sell off soemthing they REGRETTED Selling????
Man.......I knew I screwed up not even 12 hours after it was gone. Thank god its back home again!
Sold a Todd langner modded head like an idiot. It was a JCM900, Took 4 months and 300 dollars more to get it back! I gladly paid it, and learned a good lesson. It will never leave again!!

Wish I still had my Langner preamp; he built me one in the early-mid 90's, and it was smokin'. He said it was a "hot one". I sold it for next to nothing. I wish he was still doing stuff.

This has got to be the BADDEST Cameron Modded amp EVER! Not sure what mod it has but it covers ALL TONES! Was used by George Lynch on tour and now sits in my studio. Mark if you can drop me a line on what KILLER mod you call this, but it can do it all!! I am sure you remember this one. Hard to miss!!
Sounds like the CCM and the CCV all in one. Just keep drooling guys......its da bomb.

actually,i own this Purplexi amp NOW! the amp started life as a Jim Wigle custom-built plexi-clone 100-watt amp.in that state,George Lynch toured with three of them in 2005.then after the tour,he gave them back to Jim Wigle.two were sold off,to my understanding.this, being one of those two,is the smaller JTM-sized headbox, the other two were full-sized versions.anyways,i believe the amp passed through two sets of hands until it got to the guy that started this thread,Mailman1971,then he sold it to me.the owner, just before Mailman1971,had shipped the amp off the mark cameron to have it modded.it didnt get the usual jose or aldrich mod,but a different mod in which the tone sounded "like a cross between the red channel of an XTC and an SLO-100 amp".when i got it,it sounded REAL good, but i felt that it didnt have enough gain and the high notes were a bit bright & thin.the amp definately did NOT have the gain amount of a standard cameron jose HG modded-marshall.so,i decided that i wanted to have the amp modded for some more gain & thickness.my first choice was to have cameron mod it to a jose HG...BUT,knowing that it could be a very long wait(if mark even would do another "mod" at this point?)and that, after trying to reach mark cameron,by phone, with no success,i decided to send the amp off to L.A. mod guru Dave Friedman.the amp is there,as we speak, and should be done next week! i'm having him do basically TWO mods to it.the amp's "gain" channel knob is a "push/pull" pot,so i basically have two channels to work with.first, with the gain pot "pushed in",the amp's tone will be an authentic old-school jose mod to sound just like evh's '68 hot-rodded Plexi tone,on VH1...very cool! next,on the second channel, with the gain pot in the "pulled-out" position, the amp will have a fourth preamp tube "kick-in" to give me a super hot-rodded marshall tone ala the tone of Sykes(like the '87 "In The Still Of The Night" song") or Akira Takasaki from Loudness,or Criss Oliva from Savatage,etc... you get my drift! anyways, should shound pretty f**kin killer once it's done! the amp has mercury mag tranny's & choke and it's just a really cool, looking sweet amp head...cant wait to get her back!!!!!! rock on,bro's...

And then I am sure as time passes.........it will end up back in my hands for the 3rd time!!!
Rock on!!!

I did, and it was probably me that said I would make clips. Unfortunately, I sold it prior to getting a new computer rig. I thought it was a cool amp, but I was getting similar tones from other amps so I let it go.

The Wigle was essentially a plexi clone with a MV installed in place of the presence knob, and a few little goodies. My Cameron could get close enough for me if set right, and could do so much more. It was a no brainer :D Mark gets props for high gain tones, but I will say the cleans and lower gain tones sound amazing as well.
