Bands that play in C# standard and drop C#

So, the band I've just joined and the project I plan to start with my friend both want me to play in C#, I talked the band out of Drop C because it saves me hopping between tunings, and I genreally like it alot more than drop C.

So.. what bands use drop C#? Also, C# standard is probably my favourite tuning at the moment, so that aswell please. :)

(I'll be playing metal I guess in both band cases) I'm mainly into melodeath and prog.
 
Drop C# as in C# G# C# F# A# D# low to high?

If so, that seems to be Mark Tremonti's favorite tuning in many Alter Bridge songs!

C# standard = Decapitated, Hate Eternal. Slayer on most of DIM, GHUA, CI. Half of the 'Vile' album from Cannibal Corpse.
 
Pretty sure a lot of Dark Tranquillity songs are in C# from what I remember.

Vader, Kalmah (on recent album), Behemoth is certainly of note, great C# tuning sound too. I know I'll think of others that haven't been mentioned.

I get a little too mushy at that tuning, making me switch to D standard.

Relatedly, it totally blew my mind when I found out Gojira played at D standard. Those diminished 5ths really mess with your mind when they are muted.
 
I remember reading an interview with Bill Steer of Carcass and he said C# was the perfect tuning in his opinion. Carcass never used it though. Maybe his stoner rock/metal band Firebird did?
 
i know floods by pantera is in C# and into the void and children of the corn by black sabbath are in C# are well, and some all that remains is in C#

I think they're talking about standard C# which would be 1.5 steps lower than standard tuning.
 
Shame on all you for not mentioning Suffocation.

They play in C# standard

Love alter bridge. :) AFAIK they use Eb and Eb with the Eb dropped to B on some of their songs. not sure though. but thanks.

Gives me alot more stuff I wanna learn now.

I can think of one metalcore band I know that uses drop C# and they're local. :p

Db and C# are enharmonic Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb = C#, G#, C#, F#, A#, D#
Love that tuning though all my guitars are tuned to it.
