barefaced cabs....

They don't sound like a 4x12.

I'm into thump and punch.

But they do spread the sound better and can be louder with equal amount of drivers.

The run down they do on all the Celestion models is pretty accurate. Worth watching. That and his sound series.

huge fan! my friend has been using a pair of the 1x12s loaded with creamback 90s in a stereo rig and i was blown away at how big it sounded and the even dispersion. the best 1x12 cab i’ve ever heard period. his stereo rig easily rivals my 4x12 stereo cab.

he was so impressed, he is ditching his outside pair of stereo marshall 4x12s in his studio wdw rig and replacing with 2 barefaced 2x12s.

I have a 1x12 I use primarily for rehearsing. It really is great. Sounds big and the dispersion is excellent. (Though, I gig with a regular 2x12 with a plexi dispersion shield in front of it and it's also excellent, so there are other ways to solve that problem.)
