BE 50 questions C45

Hi Folks.

Maybe Dave or one of you good people tell me?
Can you install the C45 switch on BE50 and if so is it worth it?
Loved it on the BE 100.

I’m sure Dave can. Is it worth it? IMO no
 
The hbe switch just makes it louder and more mid push. I haven’t a/b sat and c45. They are usually ok when I play a Friedman.

Agreed. I'ts a cool tone, but even if you walked the amp into Dave's shop ( no shipping involved ) it would not be worth what it would cost for Dave to put the amp on his bench.
What it does: it changes the values of the resistors in the voltage divider network after the first BE gain stage, and adds a small value cap over the top resistor.
The net effect is a little more thickness in the lows and a little bit more high end in the tone with a touch more gain.
On the BE50 Deluxe, you should be able to approximate the effect by just turning up the thump and response controls ( which the regular BE 100 doesn't have )
 
I had him put it on mine. Would I do it again? Idk, but it’s there so I use it. Don’t remember what he charged me, but it was pretty cheap

It’s a great amp anyway but I loved the effect it had on 100.
