So I am always keeping my eyes peeled for Deliverance and Sig: X’s. The only amps that 1) I really regret selling and 2) Ive owned more than once.

I’ve had 2 Sig’s and 3 Deliverance. Well it was bonus time and we usually just clear off debt. Mrs Evil said I should get something pretty for being a good boy. Low and behold a D60 pops up on Reverb. It’s a VHT era model but last year went to Fryette for the loop install, new tubes and also the Less/More footswitch Control. I made a reasonable offer and got this guy. About $1k less than a new D60 MkII

I know the new ones are coming with these mods plus a couple other new features. The Bright and dual Masters aren’t enough for me to justify the cost hike. This guy lacks for no fatness in Less mod imho.

I use a Helix or HX Effects in the loop with a Gain block for lead boost so dual masters is a non issue. An EQ block can solve what the bright switch would do effectively.

I have to say, no amp brings it for me like the Deliverance. It’s my all time favorite. I’ll likely grab another D120 or Sig. I always say the Sig is about 95% on my favorite Deliverance tones with extra channels. Also looking at a Syn-1 to run in the loop when the UltraLead module hits.

Congrats!

Cannot comment on the d60, but the less mode on the d120 sounds thinner than the more mode with the Gain I in the same position.
But I want the gainy sounds tight and the cleanish fat.
Maybe that was fixed with the bright option in the new version. Then the footswitch feature would make sense.
I just roll back the gain with a volume pedal and stay in more mode.

Post some settings, please.

Ah I gotcha. Yeah with Less mode I generally redial the whole amp and makeup with a boost out front.

I’ll make some vids and post some settings for sure.

Congrats! Definitely a top 10 amp for me; I like the 60 more than the 120 since it's more 'vintage sounding' than the 120. But each are different enough to justify owning both.

Yeah absolutely. And Thanks!

I was so stoked to grab this guy. Amp is super clean. Fryette went through the whole thing and did all their “maintenance” when the did the tube swap and mods.

The 60 is really aggressive as well. The 120 just has SO much punch. I can’t believe how loud these 60’s are though. This really could be my only amp and I’d be fine.

My last SLO, I had it right next to the D60. I played each one after the other; flipping the standby on and switching each amps speaker cable to my G12 65 cab. The SLO was slightly boosted while the D60 was not. They were damn near Identical; with the SLO having more punch but not by much. Of course that's 100w vs 60..not fair but I was surprised at the D60 staying right with the SLO for the most part.
When you talk about bang for the buck, not much can compare to paying 700-1000 for a used D60 and the tone you get. Nothing touches it in that price range.

Congrats
D60 / D120's are fantastic amps.
I used to think the best bang for the buck amps were the old 5150's, but after owning a D120, I can't believe how much amp you get for the $$.
And yeah, they have NO problem hanging with all the big name amps that cost $1000's more.

Nice dude! The Deliverance is one I very much want to try. The used prices are pretty great to boot. Looking forward to some clips from you.

sig x are cool, but never played a deliverance, have to check one out

I picked up a D60 a few months ago! Its a killer amp. I can cop all types of tones. I added the loop and the less more switch to mine as well. As far as the volume change on the less/more. I'm running a FX8 with it, so I just run a volume boost on all my less patches. It works excellent.

Awesome! I really do live these amps. I bought my AX8 specifically for this model and the Diezels. The Fryette models sounded nothing like the amps to me.

Congrats man, I want to pick one of these or the 120 up but can never make up my mind so I've been holding off. I have an UL w/o EQ right now which is holding me over until then :)

Man I used an UltraLead for my solo's on my last death metal bands CD and it was fantastic. I am really looking forward to the Synergy UL module. I'll run that in the loop of my D60 basically having a full clean, Deliverance high gain and UltraLead high gain, all going through the KT88 power section of the Deliverance. I am WAY stoked for that.

Congrats. I picked up a Sig X last year and really liked it. Never tried a D60 or D120.

Basically, I say the Sig may as well be a 3 channel Deliverance. The Deliverance is a TAD more aggressive, and I mean a TAD. I was able to cop my favorite Deliverance tones pretty damn well with the Sig.

Top 3 amp for me, i have both the d60 and 120 but i tendo to prefer the mids in the 60 for some reason. I always boost them

I gotta try a d60....I had a 120 for a bit which was good but it took a lot of volume to get it to give up the juice... And I like to play my amps loud but it would be nice to have that Deliverance 120 tone with more saturation , possibly a bit more midrange focused , a little less stiff. I think that's the D60 ?

I had 4 at one time
D60, 120, Sig and ultralead

Sig X was the amp for me! Never should have sold it

It baffles me a bit that some folks here compare the Deliverance to a SLO and then you're saying Deliverance vs. SigX is about 95% there...
I *had* a Sig:X, but especially the lead channel to me was a far cry from the thickness of the SLO raw power.
The Sig:X to me is much more dry and stiff, whereas the SLO has this chunky sponginess to it.

I sold it, because I just prefer something a tad more saturated and chunky in lead tones as well as more Fendery cleans. I will say that the Rhythm channel of the Sig:X housed the best tones in that amp and would sometimes out-Marshall a Marshall at its own game. YMMV though.
