Well guess now I'm firmly in the Marshall camp? Got this fellow last Saturday or Sunday.

Interesting amp. 2007, but looks so new.

Playing my EMG-loaded guitar through the OD1 Green channel is such a joy.

Idk why these aren't more popular

Well I guess I do? I still think the 1987/1959 and the JCM 800 sound "better", but this thing is so versatile I gotta wonder why they're not more popular than they are

Nice purchase. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

I think these fall into the DSL category as far as popularity goes. Even though most consider them workhorses that have a really good sound they just haven't hit the same status as a Super Lead or JCM800. That's fine by me, keep the amp snobs from jacking up their prices LOL.

Honestly yeah. I'm really liking it. Really nice amp.

Prefer it to a lot of more common (to me) high gain amps too

It's one of the most popular amps Marshall has ever released. The only beef at this point is it's nearly two decades old as their top of the line amp.

Hey, I own two, it's been my main amp since it was released but like any amp of any brand - some like it, some don't.

For me, I found nothing that beats OD1 Orange. No boost or OD needed, it's the perfect high gain modded Marshall tone "for me" as it was intended to be.

If you want to know more about the amp from the designer himself, Click Hear. Lots of good info from Santiago. One thing, for an 07 model I'd check the bias for sure. Hey with the sticker still on it it may still have the original SED Svet Winged C's in there, fantastic tube.

HNAD & congrats!

I ❤️ my JVM410H.

Ignore the haters, use your own ears and how it feels to you. I recommend you open up the master volume for what I consider my best results.

Nvm I get it now why these weren't popular.

Mine just died for no reason. Lights turned on, but there's no sound. Opened it up, the fuses all check out alright

Taking to a tech next weekend

Well, i mean 2007 isn’t exactly yesterday especially if it hasn’t been getting some use at least

I liked mine . I just didn’t like it live with drums . It compresed fast with no old school roar . But recording it could work wonders
Good amp

Yeah it does seem like a storage unit. Tubes are still stock from 2007

I'll do a deeper check tonight.

So far only V1 lights up when turned on. Bypassing FX return does nothing.
